Liverpool will be looking to secure three critical points on Saturday when they host a struggling Bolton Wanderers side. The Reds squandered an opportunity to keep pace with Tottenham for the final Champions League spot during the midweek when they were held to a 0-0 draw at the Molineux against lowly Wolverhampton. Liverpool will be granted another chance to keep pace when they host a Bolton side that has gone 2-2-2 in their last six Premier League fixtures including losing two of their last three. Liverpool have been less than impressive this season but have gone 3-2-1 in their last six and are unbeaten in their last five in the Premier League. Kickoff between the two is set for 15:00 local time at Anfield in Liverpool, England.

Tough defence and a clogged midfield forced Liverpool to share the spoils on Tuesday at the Molineux against Wolverhampton. Liverpool struggled to build offence as they faced a Wolves lineup that was configured in a 1-5-4 formation, clogging the midfield. The formation combined with stout defence kept Liverpool off the board as the two sides battled to a 0-0 draw. Bolton hosted Burnley on Tuesday as Owen Coyle faced his former side for the first time as manager of his new side. A 35th minute goal from Chung-Yong Lee was all the Trotters would need as they kept Burnley in check throughout the match.

Bolton's victory over Burnley marked the first time this season the Trotters held their opponent scoreless in a Premier League match. The victory also boosted the Trotters out of the relegation zone and up to 15th in the league table. While they remain just one point above the drop zone despite their 15th place standing, it is no doubt a morale boost for a Bolton side that has spent the majority of the season in the drop zone. Liverpool are on the defensive insisting that midfielder Yossi Benayoun will not be moving to Dinamo Moscow. Dinamo's sporting director said that a deal for the 29 year old Israeli international to move to Moscow had been completed but the Reds have denied the completion of any such deal and stated that the player is not for sale.

Both sides will be looking to collect maximum points on Sunday to improve upon standing at different ends of the table. The Reds, despite all their troubles, are within three points of fourth place and having dropped points during the midweek they will be looking to pick up maximum points to keep pace with or draw level with Tottenham. Bolton meanwhile are separated from the drop zone by just one point and will be looking for a victory and three points to provide a cushion between themselves and the drop zone.
