Fulham will be looking to end a four match losing streak in the Barclay's Premier League when they host top four competitors Aston Villa. After an impressive run of form in November and December, Fulham have struggled since Boxing Day losing four consecutive Premier League matches allowing nine goals while scoring just three in reply. Aston Villa meanwhile have been challenging for a Champions League spot with a fourth place finish but are winless in their last four Premier League matches with two draws and two defeats and have not scored a goal in league play since a 1-0 victory over Stoke City on Saturday 19 December. Kickoff between the two is set for 15:00 local time at Craven Cottage in London, England. Fulham appeared lifeless and overmatched on Tuesday in their midweek defeat against London rival Tottenham. The Spurs kept it in third gear for the majority of the match as they easily handled Fulham, allowing the Cottagers few quality chances on net after Bobby Zamora's early shot forced a good save from Heurelho Gomes. Some sloppy defending from Fulham allowed Peter Crouch to tap in from close range in the 27th minute and a deflected free kick from David Bentley on the hour mark doubled Tottenham's lead. The two goals were all the Spurs would need as Fulham fell 2-0 in defeat. Aston Villa's big clash with Arsenal on Wednesday ended in a 0-0 draw. The first half of the match was relatively lifeless and the closest either side came to scoring was when Arsenal hit the woodwork twice. The draw left Aston Villa in seventh place in the league table, one point behind Manchester City and Liverpool, and four points behind fourth place Tottenham. Aston Villa have suffered two injury blows to their squad that threaten their run for a top four finish. Nigel Reo-Coker suffered an ankle injury in training and scans have revealed a stress fracture that could keep him sidelined for up to three months. Villa are already without left-back Stephen Warnock, forcing manager Martin O'Neill to recall Nicky Shorey from his loan spell with Football League Championship side Nottingham Forest. Warnock is unavailable for Villa due to a shin injury. Both sides will be seeking maximum points when they collide on Saturday to rescue their sinking seasons. Fulham, once firmly in the top half of the table, are now 10th in the league. The Cottagers are level on points with Blackburn while Stoke City are just two points behind. Aston Villa held fourth place in the Premier League briefly in November and if they hope to retake a top spot they need to get back on the win track to overcome Manchester City, Liverpool, and Tottenham.
