Tottenham Hotspur will host Manchester United on Saturday in what will be perhaps the most interesting fixture of the weekend in the Barclay's Premier League. Tottenham are off to their best start in years and are flying high at 4-0-0 so far. Manchester United, minus a stumble on the road against Burnley, has been dangerous as always and sits behind Chelsea and Tottenham in the table with nine points. Tottenham are on fire to start the season and surprisingly, to some, sit tied atop the table with Chelsea. Tottenham have been perfect so far this season and will put their perfect start on the line when they host the Red Devils. The Spurs were victorious 2-1 over Birmingham City in their last Premier League match before the international break. Spurs were almost derailed by a pesky Birmingham attack, but stole a late winner to take all three points and remain perfect. Manchester United meanwhile overcame a poor first half against Arsenal to defeat the Gunners 2-1 at Old Trafford two weeks ago. Arsenal dominated the majority of the game but had only a 1-0 lead at halftime to show for it. Wayne Rooney got his side back in the game early in the second half and then a devastating own goal from Arsenal sealed the victory for United.

Tottenham's exciting victory two weeks ago over Birmingham was tempered by news of Luka Modric's injury. Modric left the game under his own power on what was later revealed to be a broken leg. Modric will miss most if not all the remainder of the season. Spurs did make a move to replace Modric's contributions by acquiring midfielder Niko Kranjcar from Portsmouth.

Both sides will be looking for all three points in this pivotal matchup. Tottenham will be looking for all three points to stay at the top of the table and Manchester will want all three points to move themselves higher up the table. First place in the standings could be on the line depending on the outcome of the Chelsea matchup which kicks off earlier in the day. Depending on how that match turns out, the victor in this fixture could take sole possession of first place.
