Stoke City will try to continue their amazing start to the Barclay's Premier League season on Saturday when they host first place Chelsea. With seven points through their first four games, City finds themselves just five points off the lead in the Premier League. Chelsea meanwhile will be looking to continue their red hot start under new manager Carlo Ancelotti. In their last game before the international break, Stoke City was successful at home against Sunderland, picking up a 1-0 victory over the Black Cats. Chelsea went into the international break flying high with a 3-0 defeat of Burnley at Stamford Bridge. Chelsea players have taken an extreme liking to their new manager and Ancelotti's new formation for the Blues has them playing very solid football from front to back. It will be interesting to see how strong the legs are for the Blues who have had several starters active with their countries during the international break.

Stoke City made a few last minute moves before the close of the transfer window to bolster their squad in hopes of building upon their early season success. Uruguay international Diego Arismendi signed a four year deal with City. The midfielder comes to City from Club Nacional. Stoke also picked up defender Danny Collins from Sunderland and sent Ibrahima Sonko to Hull City on a season long loan. Chelsea moved to lock up key starters in the past week while saying goodbye to a former star with the club. Ashley Cole signed a new four year deal with the Blues while John Terry signed a new five year deal to remain with the club. Striker Andriy Shevchenko left Chelsea in search of more playing time with Dynamo Kiev.

Both sides will be keen to pick up all three points from this match. Chelsea hopes to stay atop the table in the Premier League with a victory and keep the pressure on Tottenham in the process. Stoke City could add to their impressive start with a victory over Chelsea and move themselves even closer to the top of the table with all three points.
