Manchester City's big money roster will play its first home game of the Barclay's Premier League season on Saturday as they host the Wolves. The game will start at 15:00 local time at the City of Manchester Stadium.

City come into the game on a hot streak. The club opened the season with a 2-0 victory over Blackburn Rovers and then beat defending European Champion Barcelona, on the road, 1-0 in the midweek. Wolves shook off a rough start in the Premier League, a 2-0 loss at home to West Ham United, by defeating Wigan Athletic 1-0 on the road in the midweek. The victory was Wolverhampton's first ever road win in the Premier League.

Manchester City took their revamped roster on the road in the midweek to face defending European Champ Barcelona in a friendly. City walked away 1-0 victors in front of 94,000 fans. Wolverhampton meanwhile are looking to get their feet under them in this young season, but face a tough task in beating Manchester City on the road. City had the second best home record last season in the Premier League while Wolves were the best road team last season in the Championship.

It is never too early for the season to heat up. Manchester City will be eager for victory on Saturday as a win will help them keep pace with early trend setters Tottenham and Chelsea. A victory for Wolverhampton will keep them in the middle of the pack to start the season. Not only does a victory for Wolves provide stability, the confidence boost they would get from beating big spenders like Manchester City would be tremendous.
