Hull City will try to avoid falling into the relegation zone when Manchester United pays a visit on Sunday in the final fixture of the Barclay's Premier League weekend. Hull City is winless in its last four matches with two draws and two defeats and in the process has fallen dangerously close to the drop zone again. Manchester United lost for the second time in three matches as the Red Devils were thrashed 3-0 by a determined Fulham side on Saturday. Kickoff between the two is set for 16:00 local time at the KC Stadium in East Yorkshire, England. Game is live from Sky Sports 1 TV channel.
Hull City fell 3-0 to Arsenal over the weekend despite a determined effort early on against the Gunners. Hull enjoyed the majority of possession early in the match but was unable to make any attacks pay off. Denilson opened the scoring with a 45th minute goal to put Arsenal ahead 1-0. Geovanni had a penalty effort denied by keeper Manuel Almunia, and shortly afterward Eduardo doubled Arsenal's lead with a goal in the 59th minute. Abou Diaby put the game to rest with a goal in the 80th minute, sealing a 3-0 defeat for Hull City. Manchester United suffered a shocking 3-0 defeat against Fulham at the weekend, slowing down the Red Devils title pursuit. Danny Murphy struck early on from 30 yards out to give Fulham a 1-0 lead in the 21st minute. Bobby Zamora continued his fine form with a goal just one minute into the second half, doubling Fulham's lead to 2-0. Damien Duff capped an impressive victory for Fulham with a goal in the 74th minute.
Manchester United learned last Friday that they will be drawn against a familiar place in the first knockout round of the UEFA Champions League. United will face Italian side AC Milan in the round of 16, and in the process will come face to face with former United hero David Beckham. Beckham will be on loan to AC Milan from his current club, the Los Angeles Galaxy of Major League Soccer. Beckham began his career with United and won the Champions League with the Red Devils in 1999 before transferring to Real Madrid in 2003.
Both sides will be eager to collect maximum points from Sunday's fixture. Hull City is in a fight to avoid falling into the drop zone and a defeat against United could see the Tigers fall into the relegation zone. Manchester United could not only enter Sunday's fixture seven points behind Chelsea if the Blues win on Saturday, the Red Devils could find themselves in third place in the league table behind either Arsenal or Aston Villa.
