Everton FC will be looking for its first win in five Barclay's Premier League fixtures on Sunday when they host a Birmingham City side riding a five match win streak. The Blues have not lost in eight matches in the Premier League, collecting six win and two draws in the process. Everton meanwhile is winless in its last five matches, losing three straight matches before drawing the last two. Kickoff between the two sides is set for 15:00 local time at Goodison Park in Liverpool, England. Game is live from Canal+ Sport TV channel.

Everton's last outing in the Premier League was an exciting six goal draw against first place Chelsea at Stamford Bridge last weekend. Louis Saha was instrumental in Everton taking a point against the league's top club. Saha's cross created the first goal of the match as Chelsea keeper Petr Cech had a Saha shot come off the post and go in off his back for a 1-0 Everton lead in the 11th minute. Didier Drogba leveled for Chelsea in the 17th minute followed by a Nicolas Anelka goal in the 23rd minute that put the Blues ahead 2-1. Yakubu equalised for Everton just before the stroke of halftime to level the match at 2-2. Drogba struck for a second time in the 59th minute to put the Blues ahead 3-2, but Saha struck again for Everton to force a 3-3 draw with his 63rd minute goal. Birmingham City was in action in the midweek hosting Blackburn Rovers. City used a dominating performance and a delightful double from Cameron Jerome to earn a 2-1 victory over Blackburn that wasn't as close as the score line would suggest. Jerome's first goal put his side ahead 1-0 in the 11th minute, and just after the break Jerome struck again in the 47th to double City's lead. Blackburn captain Ryan Nelsen pulled one back for Rovers in the 69th, but never developed into a serious challenge as Birmingham City defeated Blackburn 2-1.

Everton will receive a boost when the January transfer window opens as the Toffees have already agreed to a three month loan deal with American international striker Landon Donovan. Donovan will join the Merseyside club from his Major League Soccer club, the Los Angeles Galaxy, when the transfer window opens and will remain with the club until March. Donovan will give Everton manager David Moyes more options in attack as the Toffees remain involved in the FA Cup and Premier League and try to deal with a slew of injuries in the process. Birmingham City will be looking to make it 10 out of a possible 12 points on the road this season when they visit Everton.

Both sides will be looking for maximum points, but Everton is the side in most need. Birmingham City is in unfamiliar territory as they find themselves seventh in the league table and challenging for a spot in Europe with their top form. Everton meanwhile is just one point above the relegation zone with just two teams between them and the drop zone.
