Blackburn Rovers will welcome West Ham United to Ewood Park on Saturday for a Barclay's Premier League matchup. The Rovers enter the game winless and without a point so far in the Premier League while West Ham have but a single victory so far in the young season. Kickoff for Saturday’s game will be at 15:00 local time in Lancashire, UK.

The Rovers enter the game coming off a 2-1 defeat last weekend at the hands of Sunderland. Blackburn isn’t playing very good football at the moment and their results are reflective of their poor performances so far. West Ham United also lost their Premier League matchup last weekend to Tottenham Hotspur 2-1. The Hammers however enter this match after a 3-1 victory over Milwall in the Carling Cup on Tuesday. Their victory was marred by fan violence at Boleyn Ground as riots broke out between fans inside the stadium and on the surrounding streets. One fan was stabbed outside the grounds in the midst of the rioting between supporters of the two clubs.

Both clubs come into the match playing inconsistent football. West Ham have been in all their games so far this season, and in some instances merely squeaked by for victory. Tuesday's Carling Cup match for West Ham was a nervous affair that was not settled until extra time. Blackburn has little offense to speak of so far this season. Despite a managerial change mid-way through last season, Blackburn is off to an equally rocky start this season. The Rovers gathered just three victories through the first 17 games last season and aren't looking much better to start this season.

West Ham United needs a victory on Saturday to help separate themselves from the middle of the pack. Blackburn meanwhile need a victory simply to get some points on the board and try to avoid having zero points through three games to start the season.
