Watch Blackburn Rovers vs Tottenham Hotspur Live TV

Blackburn Rovers will have their hands full on Saturday when they host a Tottenham side capable of scoring buckets of goals each time out. Blackburn has struggled in recent weeks with just one win in their last six fixtures and none in their last five. Tottenham has lost just once in its last six fixtures but has been in peculiar form as they have struggled against lower clubs but performed admirably against top notch competition. In the past weekend the Spurs fell at home to lowly Wolverhampton but defeated Manchester City in lopsided fashion a few days later. Kickoff between the two is set for 15:00 local time at Ewood Park in Lancashire, England. Game is live from Canal+ Sport TV channel.

Blackburn Rovers were in action during the midweek as they traveled to meet a Birmingham City side that has been red hot over the past month. Rovers were unable to really mount much offense against a tough City defence and Birmingham striker Cameron Jerome got the home side off to a good start with a goal in the 11th minute. Jerome opened the second half by doubling City's lead with his second goal of the match in the 47th minute. Blackburn captain Ryan Nelsen would pull one back for Rovers in the 69th minute, but Blackburn never really threatened again and City handed them a 2-1 defeat. After a disappointing loss against Wolverhampton at the weekend, Tottenham was once again at home to host Manchester City. Niko Krancjar opened the scoring with a goal for Spurs in the 37th minute, giving them a 1-0 lead at the break. Spurs managed to frustrate City throughout the match, never really allowing them a smooth flow or many quality chances on goal. Jermain Defoe struck his 13th of the season in the 53rd minute to double Tottenham's lead just after the break. Krancjar struck for the second time late in stoppage time as he danced through City's defence and put the ball between keeper Shay Given's legs to seal a 3-0 victory for Spurs.

Tottenham welcomed midfielder Luka Modric back after a three month absence. Modric suffered a broken leg in August in a match against Birmingham City and returned at the weekend against Wolverhampton. Spurs manager Harry Redknapp will be happy to have Modric back as he braces for the loss of two key players during January. Redknapp, who has been without Jonathan Woodgate who has a groin injury and Ledley King whose long term knee injury refuses to heal, will lose two more key defenders to the African Nations Cup. In the absence of his preferred central defending duo, Redknapp has relied upon Sebastien Bassong and Benoit Assou-Ekotto as stalwarts in his defence. With the likely departure of both men to represent Cameroon, Redknapp is concerned it could spell disaster for Spurs.

Both sides will be eager to collect maximum points from this weekend's fixture. Blackburn currently sits in 12th place and needs a victory have any hope of cracking the top half of the table this weekend. Tottenham meanwhile jumped to fifth place with their big midweek victory over Manchester City and could jump as high as third with a win and losses from Arsenal and Aston Villa.
