Arsenal will be looking to keep the pressure on Chelsea and Manchester United when they host an improving Everton side on Saturday in the Barclay's Premier League. The Gunners have quietly been moving up the league table over the last month and have closed to within four points of first place Chelsea and to within two points of second place Manchester United. Everton picked up their first win since 8 November in the Premier League with a 2-0 victory over Burnley two weeks ago to extend their unbeaten streak to five matches. Kickoff between the two is set for 15:00 local time at the Emirates Stadium in London, England. Game is live from Canal+ Sport TV channel.

Arsenal's last outing was a 2-1 victory over Premier League London rival West Ham United in the third round of the FA Cup. Alessandro Diamanti put West Ham ahead just before the break with a goal in the first minute of stoppage time, giving the Hammers a 1-0 lead at the break. West Ham put forward a brave effort in the second half but was sunk by two late goals from Arsenal. Aaron Ramsey equalised for Arsenal in the 78th minute and Eduardo put the Gunners in front 2-1 with a goal in the 83rd minute. The victory sends the Gunners through to the fourth round of the FA Cup. Everton also secured advancement to the fourth round of the FA Cup on Saturday with a late victory over Football League One side Carlisle. James Vaughan capitalised on a defensive error from Carlisle to put Everton ahead in the 12th minute, but Kevin Hurst deflected a shot into the Everton net in the 18th minute to equalise for Carlisle. Everton struggled to defend against Carlisle throughout as both teams sought the winning goal. Tim Cahill came to the Toffees rescue with a low shot that found the back of the net in the 82nd minute. Leighton Baines sealed the victory for Everton when he converted a penalty in the fifth minute of stoppage time to give Everton a 3-1 win.

Arsenal's midweek match against Bolton Wanderers was postponed due to severe weather that struck London on Tuesday and Wednesday. The pitch at the Emirates Stadium was in playable condition, but local authorities recommended the match be postponed as the heavy snowfall left local roads too treacherous for both sets of fans to travel on to attend the match. Several Barclay's Premier League and Clydesdale Bank Scottish Premier League matches have been postponed in the last month as England and Scotland deal with some of the heaviest snowfalls seen in decades. This week's Carling Cup semifinal fixtures between Manchester City/Manchester United and Blackburn/Aston Villa were also postponed because of inclement weather.

Both sides have a lot at stake when they clash on Saturday. Arsenal is within touching distance of the top of the Premier League table. With Chelsea kicking off before the Gunners, Arsenal may find themselves needing a win to keep pace or having the opportunity to close to within one point of Chelsea. Everton is currently 12th in the league table and could jump into the top half of the table with a victory.
